What is InSAR

InSAR — Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar — is a remote sensing technique that allows detecting and measuring displacements of the land surface and structures.
InSAR main principle is a comparison of at least two satellite SAR images acquired over the same place at different times. An appropriate processing of such images allows us to detect and measure the deformations of land, structures and infrastructures.

Complimentary to other sensors

An ideal tool for monitoring large, remote or urban areas, as well as individual objects such as open pits, oil and gas fields, tailing dams, dams, bridges, roads, pipelines, historical monuments, construction sites, etc.
It is also a strong complement to sensor and topographic data as it provides historical analysis, synoptic view and continuous measurements without any in situ presence.

1. GeoKinesia InSAR proprietary processing chain

One of the most advanced class of InSAR processing — Persistent Scatterer Interferometric Chain of Geomatics (PSIG), with a number of unique advantages, which make it an automatic, reliable and functionable InSAR processing chain.
We are data agnostic and work with high, medium and low-resolution satellite data from all major providers: Sentinel-1, TerraSAR-X, COSMO-SkyMed, Capella Space and the others.

2. Convenient web-based user interface

GeoKinesia developed a simple web-based interface, which allows to select an area of interest, period, types of analysis, and receive an InSAR report under the record short time. The service is designed for smaller accounts, who may need ad hoc InSAR analysis of a territory

3. Predictivity

In cooperation with scientific partner centres, we developed a unique solution to detect, monitor and predict land and object deformations.
It was made possible through the development of our proprietary InSAR processing methods, fusion of the InSAR with in situ data and the application of Machine Learning techniques.

4. ACR

GeoKinesia developed its own Active Corner Reflector (ACR).
ACR — is an electronic device used to secure stable InSAR response in the areas where natural reflections are obstructed, e.g. areas covered by snow or dense vegetation.
